Position Description

Matrix Sensors, Inc. is seeking a qualified person to support the synthesis and characterization of our MOF films. This is a full-time position reporting to our chemistry team manager at our San Diego, CA facility. We offer full benefits and a competitive salary.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Chemical synthesis
• Thin film characterization
• Data analysis and summarization
• Substrate cleaning and preparation
• Maintaining thorough documentation, analysis and communication of experimental results
• Maintaining a safe lab environment


Desired skills include:  
• Demonstrated ability to perform a range of chemistry techniques safely
• Excellent/proven attention to detail
• Maintaining laboratory supplies and inventory
• Experience with materials characterization techniques such as SEM, PXRD, TGA, FTIR, and others
• Experience with cleanroom materials deposition techniques (e.g. sputtering, evaporation) is a plus
• Experience with data analysis in Python is a plus

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, 0-2 years of experience
• 2-3 years of wet laboratory experience in a research environment (including degree work)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
