Internship Description

Matrix Sensors, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to join our engineering team as a full-time intern for 12 weeks during summer 2023. This position will report to our VP of Engineering at our San Diego, CA facility.  

Specific responsibilities include:
• Designing, building, and assembling sensor test system and fixtures
• Verification testing of new designs
• Using basic lab and shop tools to modify test systems
• Preparing samples, performing or assisting with experiments
• Supporting team members with tasks as-needed

Desired skills for the position:
• Great attention to detail
• Proactive problem-solving
• Eagerness to learn
• Hands-on approach
• SolidWorks or CAD software experience
• Familiarity with general lab safety procedures

Qualifications:  
• Must be currently enrolled in or completed a university-level degree mechanical or electrical engineering program
• Must be able to commit 40 hours in-person per week for the duration of the internship (12 week minimum)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
